GUIDELINES FOR POSTER PRESENTATION

Poster Preparation

  • The official language for poster is English
  • One panel of poster board is available for display of each poster. To fit on the poster frame, poster must not exceed 80 cm. (width) x 100 cm. (height).
  • Posters should be readable from a distance of 6 feet (2 meters). For adequate visibility, letters should be at least 1 cm. high after enlargement to full poster size.
  • Graphics and photographs should be at least a minimum of 13 x 18 cm. in their final printed size.
  • On the top left corner of your poster reserve a space of 10 cm wide x 10 cm high for the poster number provided by the organizer. This number will also be identified in the program, so people that have an interest in your poster can easily find it.
  • You may prepare handouts for distribution at the meeting. The handouts should be related to the topic of your poster and must not contain any advertising.
  • Electrical outlets will not be provided in the poster presentation area
  • Your poster should be self-explanatory which includes the following
    • Objective(s)
    • Method (s)
    • Results
    • Conclusion
  • To supplement and discuss particular points raised by enquiry, poster may include:
    • Diagram and chart
    • Table recording, graph, etc.
    • Photograph
  • Avoid overcrowding figures and cramming too many numbers into tables. Legends and titles should accompany all figures, tables, photographs, etc. in order to allow their immediate identification.
  • Neither commercial activities nor any advertising may be displayed on the poster. Not complying with this rule will result in the poster being removed.

Presentation information for all speakers

    You may send your power point presentation file to us by e-mail at samut@asia-oceania2007.org prior to the 2007 Asia-Oceania ORL H&N Congress your file will be ready for review at the preview room or on-site at the podium.

   If you wish to download your file on-site or you want to update your presentation file, you can do so at the preview room, you can also test your presentation to make sure your font or image / VDO files are in order, preview room computers are connected directly to the meeting room podiums, Please make sure you visit the preview room 24 hours prior to your presentation.

  • Slide preview Room is on Pattaya Room 1, Mezzanine Floor, open on November 21, 2007 at 13.00 pm.
  • All electronic files must be submitted using one of the software formats listed below :

Power Point XP or earlier version
PDF Reader : Adobe Acrobat 6.0
Video Playback : Windows Media Player 9 ; Quick – time 6

    Even if you have submitted your presentation in advance, please plan to bring   the latest version of your presentation to the meeting as a safety back-up for your talk.
Please check in at the Preview Room even if you do not plan to make any changes to your presentation, so that we will know you have arrived. We ask that you check in 24 hours prior to your talk.

Audio – visual requirements : Please notify us of your audio-visual requirement for your presentation by September 30, 2007. We cannot guarantee availability for any last-minute requests. Video tapes must be VHS format (PAL preferred), NTSC on SECAM.

We ask you to be careful with the timelines of your session as a gesture of respect           
for your co-speakers.
